16 x 20 Living Room Prints

18 Aug

We’re thinking about having this series of images printed for our living room. They would each be 16 x 20 and we’d put them in good ol’ Ikea Ribba Frames. (We already bought the frames which are hanging on the LR walls right now.) We have so many images to choose from but we like that these are all from our summer trip out west last year. Without a doubt, it was a life changing experience so I don’t think I will tire of looking at these photos every day. We think we like this selection and arrangement:

Summer Vacation, Part 1

Camera Specs: Panasonic Lumix LX3

Summer 2009: Colorado

Camera Specs: Canon Rebel Xsi, 18-55mm f3.5-5.6, 55-200mm f4.5-5.6

Summer 2009: Santa Fe, New Mexico

22 Jun

It’s been nearly a year since we embarked on our 2009 summer vacation and would you believe I am just now getting around to cataloguing the images???? We want to publish a photo book of our 2.5 week vacation out west so I’ve been sorting through the images by location. Here are the images we will be putting in the “Santa Fe” section of the book. I still have to sort through images from Colorado, Utah and Arizona. It’s a big job but it will be well worth the effort! I ought to have this finished up before THIS summer’s vacation, right?

(By the way, ALL images from last summer were shot with the Digital Rebel Xsi, my first DSLR ever. I got it on July 3rd, 2009 and we left for vacation a week later. I had no clue what aperture was, had never heard of the exposure triangle, and I didn’t even know how to hold the camera. Needless to say, I learned a few things on that trip including how to use Photoshop to edit my images and especially-never, ever, ever, ever, buy the kit lens. The images below were just edited by me today. I like a little punchy-retro-vibe for my vacay photos. Can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned this past year when we go to the Blue Ridge Mountains in a couple of weeks.)

Spring Break 2010

26 Mar

We’re about to hit the road for a mini-road trip towards St. Augustine, Savannah and Charleston. I’m looking forward to being outside, taking pics, camping, eating at yummy restaurants and of course spending time with Dave. I’m leaving my computer at home so if I fill up my gig cards, TOO BAD. I have been looking absolutely everywhere for the battery door to my camera. Right now it has a battery grip attached which makes it a lot heavier. I almost can’t bear the thought of walking/biking with that thing around my neck all day but  I can’t remove the grip if I don’t have the battery door. Argh.

I’ll post some pics when I get around to it next week. That is all.

Hotel Adagio

9 Feb

The Hotel Adagio is the gorgeous boutique hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon in October of 2006. I was truly captivated by the unique, modern decor and I have to admit that without a doubt the Hotel Adagio has played an influential role in the development of my personal style. Unfortunately, I was not able to take many quality shots during our stay but I thought I would post a few pictures that I found around the internet.
