Thirty Four Weeks

Well hello there! It’s Wednesday. I know, I know, it isn’t Tuesday but at least it isn’t Thursday. Wednesday feels right, doesn’t it? This week’s lovely vintage fabric is on loan from a friend. Now normally, I wouldn’t want to use a flowery fabric for our manly man Finn but I think this fabric reads more graphic, almost geometric, than floral. Plus, how can you not smile over the color yellow??

This week, we decided that Finn is the happiest, sweetest, smile-y-est, BEST almost-8-month-old baby in the entire world. How did WE get to be parents of this kid??? Also this week, Finn had his first swim lesson, had his first taste of sand at the beach, and is officially creeping all over the house, making a bee line for all the things he shouldn’t. Heaven help us when he actually figures out how much faster he can go when he truly crawls.

p.s. The commas in this blog post are all wrong, I know. Maybe I need an English teacher or two to set me straight.

Thirty Two Weeks

I took Finn’s photo on Tuesday this week (so at least there’s that) but I didn’t get to my computer until yesterday and haven’t had time to upload it until now (Thursday). Also, I forgot. Ha.

My boy threw a fit this morning while I attempted to feed him his sweet potato puree. All he wanted to do was play with the straps on his booster seat. I corrected him and the funny thing is, he understood me. At close to 7.5 months old, he understood that I was telling him not to do something and he wasn’t happy about it. Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! Is it really time to start bringing correction to my son? I am not ready for this. But I better be. Speaking of sweet potatoes, this child is simply not interested in eating. He has eaten a total of maybe 3 tablespoons, max, of the stuff since we introduced it a couple of weeks ago. I am indifferent since I am of the belief that there is no real benefit to his consumption of food at this point in his young life. But we will try again in another week or so.

Let’s see, what else is new. Well last week was kind of a cluster of snot, teething, tears, little sleep and little to no work done on my part. I did get some housework done now that I think about it, but hardly any thing else on my mountainous to do list. To make up for it, we had a fabulous long weekend that we managed to stretch all the way to Tuesday night. We relaxed, napped, took photos, played cards, watched movies and ate our way up and down Beach Drive. No joke. Now I have boatloads of photography work to attend to and I am in denial that it’s already Thursday. I suppose I will now remove myself from the internet so I can concentrate on photo editing.

P.S. I have so many new photos that I’d like to post soon. I just need to get through the next couple of weeks of work so I can devote some time to this blog.
